Merged catalogue of reflection nebulae
Several catalogues of reflection nebulae are merged to create a uniformcatalogue of 913 objects. It contains revised coordinates,cross-identifications of nebulae and stars, as well as identificationswith IRAS point sources. The catalogue is only available in electronic form at the CDS viaanonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcat?J/A+A/399/141

A CO survey of the dark clouds in Ophiuchus
An area of about 450 sq deg in the Ophiuchus molecular cloud complex wasmapped in the J = 1 - 0 line of (C-12)O. The survey shows that theclouds are very filamentary, with lengths up to 25 pc and widths aslittle as 2 pc. Five different cloud complexes separated in position andvelocity are identified and catalogued. Upper limits of 140 pc and 153pc are derived for two of the complexes and 130 pc for another. The massof the separate clouds is determined, and the total mass of the regionis found to be 9000 solar. Estimates of the virial mass are about anorder of magnitude higher. Two elongated complexes and a string ofclouds in another complex all point in the direction of the UpperScorpius OB association.
